ABA and KESH sign agreement on direct debiting of KESH invoices
Tirana, 20 February 2006 - Today, on February 17, 2006, American Bank of Albania (ABA) signed an agreement with Albanian Power Corporation (KESH) on effecting automatic payment of KESH invoices through ABA.
The General Director of KESH, Mr. Andi Beli and ABA President & CEO of ABA, Mr. Lorenzo Roncari signed the agreement at ABA’s premises.
This agreement was a common initiative undertaken by ABA and KESH aiming at increasing payment of utility bills through the banks.
Automatic payment or direct debiting of the customers account is an improved service which aims at facilitating payment of monthly KESH invoices according to KESH respective invoices for the individual or business.
If an individual customer or business decides to use this service, then he/she will just need to fill-out a form authorizing the bank. Then the bank will begin all the necessary procedures in order to start this service between the customer and KESH. The service is provided free of charge always by ABA.
On the other side the bank notifies KESH about the agreement with the customer and after all procedures the Bank starts to debit the customer’s account for KESH’s monthly invoice amount.
ABA also provides payment service for cell phone invoices for both mobile companies Vodafone Albania and AMC as well as payment service of invoices for Albtelecom; Taxes; Customs; Municipal taxes and fees; Social Insurance, etc.
Meanwhile, ABA already offers payment of utility bills through its online banking service ABAflex, used currently by more than 900 customers.
