Reuters: Intesa SanPaolo "well capitalised" - CEO
MILAN, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Italy's biggest retail bank Intesa SanPaolo's
equity is "fully adequate", Chief Executive Corrado Passera said on Friday.
Analysts had recently suggested Intesa could be forced to follow the example of other banks in Europe and strengthen its capital ratios.

MILAN (MF-Dow Jones)--Intesa Sanpaolo (ISP.MI) Chief Executive Corrado Passera said Friday the bank's core capital is "totally adequate."
Asked about the recent entry of Libyan investors into the capital of Italian peer UniCredit (UCG.MI) and the stability of Intesa's shareholding structure, Passera said: "We are serene and calm."
