Press Clipping: Italy – Albania, Rome our first trade partner

(ANSA) - Turin, 16 October – Albania, a reality characterized by an annual growth rate of 6%, having Italy as the main trade partner, is interested in enhancing the economic relations with Piemonte, underlined the Albanian President Bamir Topi in the meeting held in Turin with the President of Piemonte region, Mercedes Bresso.

 

Piemonte Region is now present in the Albanian banking sector by Intesa Sanpaolo Group being involved in the capital of BIA (Banca Italo Albanese) and ABA (American Bank of Albania), today Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania and it shall offer to its business people better opportunities for investing in the sector of energy, industry and tourism in general.

 

“We are very much interested – said Topi – in the investment opportunities related to the characteristics of Piemonte Region. We need interventions in the field of industry, energy, agriculture and tourism. The foreigners visiting our country highlight that Albania has the last wild and unexplored beaches in Europe. We are interested in developing tourism, under an optic of respecting and in harmony with the environment.”
