Tirana, June 12th, 2024, at the premises of Agriculture University of Tirana was organized the launching event of the 1st Level International University Master on "Open Innovation and Youth Entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean Green Sector". The Master will be released as a double degree and is co-organized by international partners: The Agriculture University of Tirana, The LUM University "Giuseppe Degennaro" of Bari, Italy, the CIHEAM Bari, the CIHEAM Paris and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania under the patronage of the Albanian Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of State for Entrepreneurship, Regione di Puglia and Start Up Albania.
Among the distinguished guests of the launching ceremony were the Rector of the University of Agriculture in Tirana, Mr. Fatbardh Sallaku, Rector, LUM “Giuseppe Degennaro” Mr. Antonello Garzoni Director, CIHEAM Bari Mr. Maurizio Raeli, Regione Puglia Mrs. Silvia Visciano and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania Mr. Alessandro D’Oria.
In the launching event participated also Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Mr. Enio Civici, President, CIHEAM Mrs. Frida Krifca, Secretary General, CIHEAM Mr. Teodoro Miano and Director Start Up Albania Mr. Arjan Ymeri.
The Master aims to develop through a cooperation process an innovation hub to support startups and companies in the green sector in the Albania and Balkan area with the ambition to provide a plethora of academic resources and lectures for the new generation of innovation managers, to create startups and stimulate private companies to take part in the green transition process towards innovative business models.
The International Master in “Open Innovation and Youth Entrepreneurship in Mediterranean Green Sector" is a first step designed to train the future innovation managers to become principal promoters of novel conceptual approaches and methodologies in building innovative ecosystems (public institutions, business support organizations and private entities).
Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania will be the only private partner in this collaboration, offering a generous financial contribution to ease the student’s participation in the enrollment of academic year 2024-2025. In addition, two managers of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania will be among the academic staff of the Master Programme.
