Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania is the First Bank in Albania to offer Loan Moratorium, Loan rescheduling and new Loans with a 6 months grace period to the population affected by the earthquake.                                                                                                                  

Tirana, December 23, 2019 - Following the tragic events that had shaken the country on November 26^th, the Board of Directors of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania, in full support of its commitment for the relief of the population affected by the earthquake, has decided to introduce and offer Financial Schemes specifically designed for the affected Citizens and Legal Entities.

The objective of “Earthquake Relief and Support Plan” is to help all the ones who have lost their homes, relatives, businesses, jobs as well as the subjects that need new financing to repair damages, cover reallocation costs and other immediate needs.

The “Earthquake Relief and Support Plan” will offer the possibility to postpone or rescheduling loan repayment (mortgage, personal or business loans) and receive new financing for repairs or reallocation purposes.   

Namely the “Earthquake Relief and Support Plan”[1] is designed to offer at the affected population the following financial scheme options:

-Existing Customers of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania who have a personal/ mortgage/business loan will have the possibility to apply for:

1. Moratorium (temporary interruption in the payment of installments) for a period of up to 12 months. The suspended installment will be rescheduled at the end of the repayment period.
2. Rescheduling of the existing loan repayment plan with the aim to reduce the amount of the periodic installments and prolong the maturity of the loan.

-New Customers of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania: All new forms of requested short or medium term credit facility will enjoy a 6 months grace period and a privileged interest rate.
