Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania approves credit facility of 1.5m euros for Sicily by Car Albania
Tirana, 28 March 2023 - Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania is happy to announce that it has approved a credit facility at the amount of 1.5m euros for the local subsidiary of the International Company “Sicily by Car S.P.A.”. This credit facility will be utilised to renovate their fleet of vehicles which are provided to their customers as rental cars.
Sicily by Car which is a leading company in the car rental sector, has been present with its operations in Albania since 2017. The company operates supporting the tourism sector; whereas its performance has been stable and sustainable during the years.
The financing facility of 1.5m EUR has been tailored with the client needs, in order to offer the possibility to attract new business during the tourist season. Pursuant to our ESG commitments, the fleet of the cars will belong to the category of low emissions.

Sicily by Car was founded in 1963 by Tommaso Dragotto, who began his entrepreneurial venture with a fleet of cars consisting of a Fiat 1300, a Fiat 1100 and two Fiat 500s. From that year, this enterprise has grown and expanded in regional and larger borders. In 2017, the company expanded its operations in Albania.
SBC Albania became fully operational starting from April 2018 with a smaller acquired fleet. Already in the following year the company produced an increased turnover and is planning to be one of the most important rental companies within Albania, as it is already in Italy.
